As a Knowledge Integration Specialist, you will be:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert in knowledge management and information governance, by supporting and contributing to:
    • Developing and iterating on our Knowledge Integration (KI) precedent program for the utilization of existing assets, programs, and tools;
    • Ensuring the usage of our KI investments provide measureable or anecdotal ROI;
    • Closing knowledge gaps of strategic importance;
    • Proposing systems, tools, and processes to manage firm knowledge in support of legal practices;
    • Supporting data analytics initiatives with an understanding of taxonomy development and management.
  • Support the KI platform by preparing, maintaining, and executing plans for knowledge and information asset development based on business goals and input from stakeholders.
  • Portfolio administration and reporting which includes:
    • Providing regular updates on metrics, including analysis of metrics and recommendations to the Senior Director and to stakeholders;
    • Assisting in the creation and execution of project plans, defining scope, objectives, KPIs, schedule, stakeholders, and milestones;
    • Identifying risks and spearheading mitigating actions;
    • Spearheading ad-hoc knowledge management initiatives and projects, for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in all aspects of KI related technology development, such as:
    • Interviewing stakeholders, preparing reports, gap analyses, and recommendations;
    • Supporting market assessments;
    • Contributing to design of new and existing technology platforms.
  • Supporting the Senior Director with change management initiatives:
    • Leading change management workstreams to build awareness and drive usage of assets, programs, and tools;
    • Creating meaningful, plain language written materials throughout change initiatives;
    • Applying process mapping, improvement, and best practices;
    • Providing recommendations and feedback to the Senior Director, and project leads on process efficiencies.
  • Building relationships and effectively collaborating with a variety of stakeholders regionally and firm wide, at all levels of the organization, and externally with consultants and vendors where necessary.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to KI projects, implementing valuable process and project improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of key KI initiatives in a capacity as a core team member and Subject Matter Expert in knowledge management and information governance.

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as Master of Library Science, Information studies, or Knowledge Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a knowledge management environment, supporting projects and change management initiatives, with at least 1 year in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and PDF editing software. Working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams would be a strong asset. Experience using an Electronic Document Management system.
  • Confidence in working with and presenting to professionals. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization at a very high level.
  • Ability to “run with” projects and technology.
  • Bilingualism in English and French an asset.
  • Superlative writing skills.
  • An energetic, proactive and positive approach to all activities. Demonstrated “can do” attitude to ensure tasks and activities are managed with the utmost efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/ deadlines as they relate to projects.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize and deliver creative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.
