We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with 5+ years of experience supporting lawyers in corporate and commercial law or a transferable legal practice. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple files, deadlines, transactions, and administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities Provide legal and administrative support to lawyers and paralegals across corporate and commercial matters. Coordinate in-person, video, and teleconference meetings and assist with meeting preparation. Manage files from opening and conflicts through retainers, organization, billing, and closing. Draft, format, proofread, and revise correspondence, memos, agreements, and other legal documents. Conduct due diligence, registry, and other searches as required. Submit documents for registration with Land Titles, Personal Property Registry, and other applicable registries. Prepare and organize transaction documents, checklists, closing materials, and meeting materials. Prepare closing books and maintain corporate records. Assist with time entry, billing, and client file administration. Support marketing and business development initiatives. Perform additional legal and administrative duties as required. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in corporate and commercial law or a transferable practice area. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities. Positive attitude with the ability to adapt to new technology, processes, and training. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, including styles, numbering, cross-referencing, tables of contents, and document merges. Experience with document comparison software and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with file management, document management, communication, and billing systems.
