We are supporting a reputable law firm in their search for an Immigration Lawyer. The firm practises in the area of business, immigration, employment and dispute resolution law, and has an excellent reputation in Canada and internationally. They have a diverse client base ranging from entrepreneurs and start-ups to multinational, public companies and high-net-worth individuals and families. There may be opportunities to work in other practice areas including employment and business law; so experience in these areas would be an asset. Key Responsibilities: Advising business, family and individual clients on Canadian immigration matters, including strategic and compliance matters. Preparing applications for: Labour market impact assessments (LMIAs), Work Permits, Permanent Residence - federal and provincial programs, Citizenship, Admissibility. Working effectively with immigration paralegals and legal assistants. Maintaining accurate time records and meeting billing expectations. Managing client relationships through effective communication, accountability and positive results. Contributing to business development and community initiatives. Ideal Candidate: Minimum of 3 years post-call experience in Canadian immigration Law. US immigration law experience is an advantage. Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Developing knowledge of federal and provincial policies, procedures and compliance requirements. Positive attitude and adaptability to progressive technology and process improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, dependable and driven. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
