Grechi Carter Professional Corporation is a boutique real estate law firm based in Toronto, focused on delivering high-quality, client-centered legal services. We are looking for clerks and paralegals with at least 3+ years of experience in real estate, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
Role Description The Commercial Real Estate Clerk is a full-time, hybrid role based in Etobicoke, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing commercial real estate documentation, such as agreements of purchase and sale, leases, and closing packages. The role involves conducting and summarizing title and off-title searches, coordinating with municipalities, lenders, and other law firms, and managing critical dates and closing checklists. The clerk will organize files, maintain accurate records, draft correspondence, and assist lawyers throughout transactions to ensure timely and efficient closings. This position requires close collaboration with team members and clear communication with clients.
Qualifications Strong commercial real estate file management skills, including document drafting, review, and organization. Experience with title and off-title searches, due diligence, and preparation of closing documents. Proficiency with legal software, Microsoft Office applications, and electronic document management systems. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple files and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills and a client-focused, professional approach. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment (office and remote). Prior experience (3+ years) as a law clerk in real estate or completion of a recognized Law Clerk or Paralegal program. Knowledge of Ontario real estate laws, land registry systems, and commercial lending documentation is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Commensurate with experience.
