Job ID: 26-21492 Job Title: Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Consultant Location: Regina, SK(Remote) Duration: 24 months with possible extension Client: Public Sector Pay Rate: CAD $75 - $80 per hour

Must have: Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and/or Privacy Assessments for technology solutions Strong experience interpreting and applying Federal and Provincial privacy legislation, including Saskatchewan's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) or comparable privacy legislation (e.g., FIPPA, PIPEDA, Privacy Act) 5+ years of experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments for Provincial and/or Federal Government projects Experience researching and analyzing privacy legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to provide recommendations that strengthen privacy protection Proven experience reviewing business and technology initiatives to identify privacy, information access, data governance, security, and compliance risks while recommending mitigation strategies Experience preparing comprehensive PIA reports, privacy recommendations, mitigation plans, legislative analysis, and supporting documentation for executive and project stakeholders Strong understanding of information security principles, access controls, data retention, information lifecycle management, safeguards, and privacy-by-design methodologies Experience creating data flow diagrams, documenting personal information flows, evaluating data collection, retention schedules, and consent or legislative authority requirements Familiarity with criminal justice systems, correctional environments, and applicable legislation governing adult and youth information management is highly preferred Excellent analytical, research, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, written communication, and report-writing skills Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.

Role and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for technology and business initiatives to identify, evaluate, and mitigate privacy risks Participate in project meetings and provide privacy guidance throughout project planning, design, implementation, and post-implementation activities Gather administrative, technical, and physical information from business stakeholders and subject matter experts to support privacy assessments Review project documentation, business processes, technical architectures, policies, procedures, and security controls to identify privacy implications Prepare detailed PIA reports, legislative analyses, privacy recommendations, mitigation strategies, and supporting documentation for project approvals Develop data flow diagrams and document the collection, use, disclosure, retention, storage, and disposal of personal information Assess information security safeguards, access controls, consent requirements, legislative authority, retention schedules, and privacy compliance obligations Review project changes and prepare PIA revisions or addendums as required before and after solution implementation Identify opportunities to improve privacy practices, information governance, and compliance across project initiatives Collaborate with project managers, architects, business analysts, legal teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure privacy requirements are incorporated into solution designs Support internal knowledge transfer through mentoring, process documentation, job shadowing, and capacity building to strengthen organizational privacy practices.
