Role Description The Freelance Independent Litigation Paralegal is a remote role supporting litigation matters across the firm’s practice areas. This role will prepare and organize litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and supporting exhibits. The paralegal will conduct legal research, review case documents, and summarize findings for attorney review. Responsibilities include maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, coordinating filings with courts, and ensuring compliance with procedural rules. The role requires consistent communication with attorneys to support case strategy, as well as independent management of workload, timelines, and deliverables. Qualifications Ability to perform Legal Document Preparation and thorough Document Review for litigation matters. Strong Legal Research skills to identify relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules. Experience drafting and formatting Pleadings and Motions in accordance with court requirements. Solid understanding of civil litigation processes, court rules, and filing procedures. Excellent written communication, grammar, and attention to detail. Proficiency with legal practice management software, document management tools, and remote collaboration platforms. Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
