Position: Junior Associate, Corporate & Commercial (3+ years) Location: Ottawa, Ontario Company: SKS Law LLP SKS Law LLP is seeking an associate lawyer with 3+ years of corporate and commercial law experience to join our Ottawa office. This role is ideal for a practical, motivated lawyer who enjoys working closely with clients, supporting a broad range of business matters, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.

Responsibilities: Manage corporate and commercial files with appropriate supervision, including incorporations, reorganizations, share and asset purchases, financings, contract drafting and review, and other transactional matters. Provide practical, business-minded advice to clients on corporate governance, commercial arrangements, and transaction-related matters. Draft, review, and negotiate a range of corporate and commercial documents, including purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, resolutions, and service agreements. Conduct legal research and support transaction structuring and due diligence as appropriate. Work closely with clients, colleagues, and external advisors to deliver coordinated, practical advice. Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, practical service. Contribute to a collegial team environment and support practice development initiatives where appropriate.

Qualifications: LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school. Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, ideally with experience supporting a range of transactional and advisory matters. Demonstrated ability to manage files effectively, with attention to detail and sound judgment. Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate practice. Fluency in English is required; French-English bilingualism is an asset.
