Real Estate Legal Assistant Location: Concord, Ontario
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Real Estate Legal Assistant to join our team in Concord, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of real estate experience and the ability to manage files with a degree of independence while supporting two associates in a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities Assist with a range of real estate transactions, including purchase, sale and commercial financing transactions Open new client files and process retainer deposits Prepare draft clearance letters and general correspondence for solicitor review Schedule meetings and manage calendars, including tracking and diarizing critical transaction deadlines, including: Requisition dates Conditional period expiry dates Closing dates Use Teraview, Soluno, NetDocuments and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Maintain organized and accurate file management systems Assist with docketing, billing and follow-up and basic accounting functions Prepare final reporting documentation for purchase, sale and commercial financing transactions Provide administrative and legal support to two associates
Qualifications & Experience 2–3 years’ experience in real estate law Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Working knowledge of Teraview, Soluno, NetDocuments and Lawyer Done Deal Ability to manage files with some independence and escalate when necessary Experience drafting Statement of Adjustments and legal correspondence Commitment to continuous professional development in legal technology and AI-enabled workplace tools
