Advisory Set-Up for Germany

About This Opportunity
Entering the German market? One of the first hurdles you will face is the Notar. In Germany, a Notar is not just a witness. They are a state-appointed legal authority required for key business steps such as company formation, shareholder changes, and official registrations. Without notarization, your company setup is not legally valid. The process is formal. Documents must be prepared in German, identities are verified in person, and the Notar reads and certifies everything before submitting it to the Handelsregister. For foreign companies, this often includes apostilled documents and certified translations. For many Canadian businesses, this is where delays and confusion start. Another often overlooked factor is Gewerbesteuer (trade tax). This varies significantly depending on where your company is located in Germany, as each municipality sets its own rate. Choosing the right city can have a meaningful impact on your overall tax burden. I help companies navigate this entire process. Through my service, I set up your firm structure, coordinate with the Notar, arrange appointments, and ensure all documentation is properly prepared. I also help you choose the right location, establish payroll, and connect you with local accountants, tax advisors, and legal experts so your business is fully operational and compliant from day one. If you are expanding from Canada into Germany and want a structured, reliable setup, feel free to reach out.

About Global Canada Network
Global Canada Network is a platform built to connect Canadians in Canada with Canadians living abroad.
Our goal is to strengthen Canada’s global presence by making it easier for people, businesses, and communities to stay connected across borders. We support Canadian SMEs looking to expand internationally by helping them find Canadians who understand local markets, culture, and business environments.
At the same time, we focus on community. We want Canadians abroad to stay connected to Canada, maintain their identity, and access opportunities back home, whether that means careers, partnerships, or simply staying part of a broader Canadian network.
We believe that strong global connections start with shared identity and trust. By bringing Canadians together, we aim to build a network that supports international growth, collaboration, and a stronger sense of community worldwide.
We are currently in beta and actively building with input from early users.
