About the role
A career as a Technical Advisor in the Registration Department team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in regulatory requirements. It is through your data analysis and knowledge of regulatory requirements on regulatory registrations that you have a positive impact on all employees registered with the competent authorities.
Your role:
Advise and support stakeholders on regulatory registrations;
Provide advanced technical support, sometimes regulatory in nature,
Act as a registration expert, with managers and employees working for the mutual fund dealer National Bank Savings and Investments Inc. as well as with other support services such as compliance, human resources and legal affairs;
Carry out and coordinate special projects according to needs and regulatory changes;
Interpret, communicate and clarify the rules and policies of the AMF and CIRO that relate to registration;
Identify problems, meet with stakeholders, and seek and propose appropriate solutions that meet the Bank's and subsidiaries' business objectives while protecting their interests.
Your team:
Within the compliance group, you are part of a team of seven colleagues and report to the Manager, Registration Department. Our team stands out for its expertise in regulatory registrations, its client/employee experience delivery, a stimulating and diverse work as well as a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Prerequisites
Required level of academic experience (Three-year professional college diploma or academic equivalent, related to the sector of activity – an asset)
At least 3 years of experience related to the industry – an asset.
Ability to analyze and review securities regulations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Office365 applications.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to provide guidance and support to internal partners.
Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to collaborate with a regulator/authority/government body outside Quebec. Required skills: Artificial Intelligence, Diversity & Inclusion, Empathy, Learning Agility, Resiliency, Teamwork
