About the role

The AML Reporting Analyst will be an integral member of the Anti-Money Laundering Financial Intelligence Unit (AML FIU). This role is responsible for supporting regulatory reporting obligations by preparing and submitting Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Canadian regulator, the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC). The successful candidate will help ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements while mitigating financial crime risks to RBC.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and complete all required fields within Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) for submission to FINTRAC. Ensure accurate, complete, and high-quality reporting of suspicious transactions in accordance with AML FIU procedures and FINTRAC guidelines. Review transaction details and supporting documentation to maintain consistency and accuracy in regulatory disclosures. Collaborate closely with AML FIU Investigation Teams to ensure STRs are submitted within established timelines. Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards. Support the organization's commitment to information security, data protection, code of conduct, and professional development policies. Work effectively with internal stakeholders and business partners to facilitate timely and accurate reporting. Manage a high-volume workload while meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.

Required Qualifications Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and accurately document critical information. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications Previous data entry, reporting, or administrative processing experience. Experience within the banking, financial services, or AML/compliance sector. Knowledge of FINTRAC regulations, reporting requirements, and AML compliance frameworks. Prior experience preparing regulatory reports, Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), or working within a Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) environment.
