About the role
We are a growing litigation-focused boutique law firm with a primary focus on civil and commercial litigation and family law. Our practice also includes immigration litigation before the Federal Court and criminal defence matters. We are seeking a motivated and capable lawyer to join our team and independently manage files from intake to resolution in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, affidavits, briefs, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research platforms.
- Represent clients in court appearances, motions, mediations, negotiations, and conferences.
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, procedural issues, and risk assessment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and third parties.
- Collaborate with the firm?s lawyers on litigation strategy and file management.
- Maintain organized file management and meet litigation deadlines.
Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of experience practicing civil/commercial litigation and/or family litigation.
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and legal research skills.
- Ability to independently manage files and court appearances.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- Experience in immigration litigation and/or criminal defence is considered an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
