Senior Manager, Taxation / Director, Taxation Ref: 1126097 Mississauga, ON | Hybrid (3 Days in Office) $140,000 - $180,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Your New Role Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Accounting, Tax & Treasury, you will lead the organization's tax function and oversee a team of five tax professionals. This position can be hired at either the Senior Manager or Director level, depending on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
You will be responsible for the oversight of all corporate tax reporting, compliance, planning, and advisory activities across a complex multi-entity structure. Key responsibilities will include: Leading the preparation and review of quarterly tax provisions and reporting. Overseeing all Canadian income tax and indirect tax compliance filings. Supporting tax planning initiatives, business transactions, and internal restructurings. Ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation, including SIFT rules. Managing relationships with the CRA, Revenue Québec, and other tax authorities. Analyzing tax variances and providing meaningful insights to senior leadership. Providing tax guidance on resident, indirect, and payroll tax matters. Supporting major corporate projects and strategic initiatives from a tax perspective. Collaborating with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and Real Estate teams to identify tax risks and opportunities. Driving process improvements and ensuring efficient tax administration practices. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of five professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess: CPA designation. Completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. A minimum of 8 years of post-designation tax experience gained within public accounting and/or a large corporate environment. Strong knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and indirect tax requirements. Experience working with multi-entity structures, trusts, and partnerships. Proven leadership experience managing and developing tax professionals. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with sound business acumen. Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Power Query; exposure to Power Automate is considered an asset. Experience with Yardi and OneStream is highly desirable. Real estate industry experience is strongly preferred. The ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
