Position: Patent/Compliance Law Attorney

Type: Contract

Compensation: $100–$150/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

Author tasks and scenarios from real patent and compliance workflows such as patent drafting, prosecution, and regulatory filings. Review and grade AI responses for legal accuracy, sound reasoning, and adherence to professional standards. Produce model "golden answer" responses and detailed rationale to improve model training. Flag ambiguity, risk, and edge cases as a practicing attorney would. Work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours on a project basis.

Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years of professional experience in patent law and/or regulatory compliance. J.D. (or LL.B./LL.M. equivalent) from leading US/UK/Canada law schools. Active or inactive bar admission in a U.S., U.K., or Canadian jurisdiction and/or USPTO/CIPO/UKIPO registration. Excellent written communication and ability to articulate complex legal reasoning clearly.

Preferred

Registered patent attorney/agent with a technical background in engineering, CS, life sciences, or chemistry. Hands-on experience with AML/BSA, OFAC, FCPA, HIPAA, FDA, GDPR/CCPA, or export control regimes. CIPP/CFE/CAMS certification is a plus.
