Reporting to the Manager, Land Shared Services, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing and administering land-related system data and reporting. Acting as a liaison between the Land Systems team and key stakeholders including Mineral and Surface Land, as well as Commercial Operations. You will support a portfolio of energy-related applications, with a primary focus on Canadian Natural’s land system software, QBLM. This role is critical to ensuring data integrity, system efficiency, and seamless collaboration across land and operational teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Land Systems and Land business units, managing relationships while supporting and maintaining a portfolio of custom and packaged applications

  • Evaluate requests for new features and functionality, preparing well-documented business cases to support application investments, while maintaining a strong understanding of land data requirements across the portfolio

  • Develop detailed design specifications and collaborate closely with Developers and Systems Analysts to monitor progress and ensure successful implementation of system updates

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve land application issues on items such as system data quality and reporting

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Land Analyst or Land Systems Analyst, with a proven track record in implementing, supporting, and maintaining land and mapping applications

  • Post-secondary education in Petroleum Land Administration or Computer Science

  • Hands-on experience with land systems such as QBLM, CS Explorer, LandRite, LandView, or LandWorx, with an advanced understanding of land-related data, payments, and reporting

  • Proficient in query and data integration tools such as Knime, FME, or Microsoft Access

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Microsoft Copilot

  • Experience building and managing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Report Builder or other business intelligence tools
