At SGI, we're shaping the future of claims through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence. We're looking for a strategic and influential leader to join our Corporate Insurance team as Director, Corporate Claims Product (Property), for a two-year term.

What You'll Do As the Director, Corporate Claims Product (Property), you'll provide strategic leadership for the development and execution of corporate property claims initiatives across SGI's national operations. You will: Develop and implement corporate claims strategies, standards, and best practices that align with organizational goals and enhance customer outcomes. Lead large-scale transformation, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen claims effectiveness and operational performance. Partner with claims operations leaders and key stakeholders to create consistent claims handling approaches and improve business results across regions. Establish and oversee governance frameworks, policies, controls, reporting, and quality assurance programs that support sound claims practices and compliance. Analyze emerging industry trends, competitive insights, performance data, and operational opportunities to provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Lead and support a team of specialized professionals, fostering engagement, development, accountability, and resilience through ongoing change. Influence stakeholders across multiple business areas to build momentum, gain alignment, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Bring We're seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who combines strong property claims expertise with strategic business leadership.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience A four-year degree in Business, Mathematics & Applied Science, Social Sciences, or another related discipline. A minimum of 10 years of experience, including: Significant leadership experience leading teams and organizational initiatives. Technical insurance and claims experience. Extensive experience in property, property-casualty, auto, casualty, or related claims environments, with demonstrated senior leadership responsibility. Strong knowledge of personal and commercial property claims handling, property operations, estimating, valuation, and industry trends. Proven experience developing and executing strategy, governance, policies, standards, and operational frameworks. Experience leading complex change initiatives and enterprise transformation efforts. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer experience, operational effectiveness, and shareholder value.
