Lawrence, Lawrence, Stevenson LLP (?Lawrences?), one of the Region of Peel?s premier multi-service law firms, is seeking a full-time intermediate lawyer to join our busy Real Estate Practice Group, where he or she will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of real estate matters for clients including commercial and residential transactions, leasing, financings, severances, minor variance applications and development work, in particular residential and commercial condominium projects,.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of post-call experience in Real Estate Law, and shall be a detail-oriented, team player with strong interpersonal, written, and oral skills, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario with good academic credentials and no Errors & Omissions Claims. A broad foundation of legal concepts, experience, and applications relevant to the practice of real estate law will be required.

Working with our veteran skilled staff, the successful candidate will work on the completion of residential and commercial purchase and sale and transactions, as well as financing security transactions, Estate conveyancing and commercial leasing, in addition to other general real estate matters. He or she will also assist the senior partner with the firm?s land development practice, and may need to attend Committee of Adjustment, Municipal Council, and other administrative agency hearings and meetings from time to time. The Real Estate Practice Group also provides real estate services for our Wills & Estates, Corporate and Litigation Departments as the need arises.

This is a salaried position, and a bonus is also offered for achievement of targets and originated client work for the firm. Lawyers with their own practice and clients are welcome to apply.
