About the role
About Us Immigratic is a Canadian immigration firm building a modern, technology-enabled immigration practice. We combine regulated immigration services with proprietary legal operations software to deliver high-quality, efficient, and compliant immigration solutions for individuals and businesses.
Our focus is simple: exceptional legal work, strong professional standards, efficient operations, and continuous improvement.
As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our leadership team as Managing RCIC & Legal Operations Lead.
Role Overview We are looking for a senior RCIC who enjoys practicing immigration law, working directly with clients, solving complex immigration matters, and helping build a high-performing legal practice.
You will manage your own client files, conduct consultations, prepare and review applications, develop legal strategies, and represent clients where appropriate. At the same time, you will help oversee file quality, mentor team members, strengthen professional standards, and improve the systems and processes that support our growing practice.
This role offers the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the future of a modern immigration firm where technology enhances legal practice without replacing professional judgment.
Key Responsibilities Immigration Practice Conduct immigration consultations and assess eligibility across temporary residence, permanent residence, citizenship, and related immigration programs. Develop legal strategies and manage immigration files from initial assessment through final decision. Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications, legal submissions, procedural fairness responses, reconsideration requests, and other immigration-related matters. Provide practical, accurate, and timely legal advice to clients throughout the course of their matters. Represent clients before IRCC and other government authorities where appropriate. Manage complex, high-risk, and escalated files requiring senior professional judgment. Practice Leadership Supervise and mentor RCICs, caseworkers, coordinators, and administrative staff involved in immigration file preparation. Review applications, submissions, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance before filing. Support the professional development of team members through coaching, training, and regular file review. Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Legal Operations & Quality Assurance Maintain compliance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), IRCC operational guidance, CICC professional obligations, and internal practice standards. Develop and improve standard operating procedures, checklists, templates, workflows, and internal documentation. Monitor file progression, workload management, service standards, and quality assurance across the practice. Identify compliance risks, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve client service and internal processes. Work closely with leadership and product teams to improve practice management systems, reporting, automation, and AI-assisted workflows. Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm's legal operations.
Qualifications Active RCIC license in good standing with CICC Minimum 5 years of practical Canadian immigration experience preferred Strong knowledge of temporary residence, permanent residence, and common business, family, and economic immigration pathways Experience reviewing applications, supervising staff, or managing immigration files Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and client communication skills Sound professional judgment and ability to identify legal, procedural, and compliance risks Comfortable working with case management systems, digital workflows, and technology-supported operations Detail-oriented, structured, reliable, and able to work within defined processes Leadership, mentorship, or practice management experience is considered a strong asset
What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonus. Extended health benefits. Hybrid or remote work flexibility within Canada. A senior role with meaningful influence over both legal practice and operational development. The opportunity to work with proprietary technology designed specifically for Canadian immigration practice. A collaborative, quality-focused environment that values professionalism over volume.
What We Value We believe great immigration practice is built on sound professional judgment, ethical representation, attention to detail, and continuous learning.
We do not measure success by file volume alone. We invest in strong legal work, structured operations, modern technology, and long-term client relationships. We are looking for someone who shares these values and wants to help build one of Canada's leading immigration practices.
Application Process Interested candidates are invited to submit: a resume A brief cover letter (maximum one page) explaining your interest in this role, why you believe you are a strong fit, and the experience and strengths you would bring to Immigratic.
Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to provide anonymized writing samples (such as submission letters, legal submissions, or procedural fairness responses), complete a practical file review exercise, and discuss their approach to legal strategy, quality assurance, supervision of non-licensee staff, and maintaining compliance within a technology-enabled immigration practice.
