Role Description The Litigation Associate will manage a variety of files in Personal Injury, Estates & Estate Litigation, and Family Law, with a focus on dispute resolution and advocacy. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence, preparing for and attending court appearances, and participating in discoveries and depositions. The role also involves advising clients, developing case strategies, and working closely with partners and staff to move matters forward efficiently. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, requiring regular presence in the office and at local courts. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with experience or interest in Personal Injury, Estates & Estate Litigation, and Family Law. Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, including written and oral advocacy skills. Advanced Research skills for case law, statutes, regulations, and legal commentary. Experience preparing for and conducting Depositions and examinations for discovery. Comfort and professionalism in appearing before various Courts and tribunals. Member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta, or eligibility for admission. 1–4 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil or family matters. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple files, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
