About the role
Our client, a major advisory firm, offers fully integrated legal, advisory and financial services to multinational clients. Among other things, our client advises on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, insolvencies and corporate governance.
The legal arm of this leading advisory firm is growing its corporate commercial law and employment law teams in Vancouver as follows:
Corporate Commercial:
Our client is interested in speaking with corporate commercial lawyers with between 5 and 20 years of experience (or a team). The successful candidates will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to provide seamless support to clients engaged in mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and other commercial transactions. Other services provided include advising on corporate governance and daily operations. Clients range from high growth start-ups to multinational corporations and prestigious family offices.
Employment:
Our client is interested in speaking with a team, or individual lawyers, with between 5 and 20 years of experience in employment law. Experience with workplace investigations and/ or labour law is an asset but not required. The successful candidates will handle employment law aspects of major transactions including drafting key employee agreements and advising on BC specific employment laws. The successful candidates will also act as trusted advisor on day-to-day workplace issues, compliance, employee relations and workplace policies. Candidates with experience in litigation will represent clients in Employment Standards actions and/or will represent clients at various administrative tribunals.
An existing client base is welcome but is not required for corporate commercial or employment candidates. There is an abundance of internal opportunity to build a thriving and busy practice.
