The Opportunity:

The Ministry of Environment’s role is to manage the health of Saskatchewan’s environment in a responsible manner that supports sustainable growth through objective, transparent and informed decision-making and stewardship. The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment has an opening in the Financial & Property Management Branch for a Registry Administrator.

This position has an emphasis on the management of government land including leases, permits and other permissions relating to land use. This position is tasked with providing efficient and effective service to ministry clients and the public within the results based regulatory framework. They are the first point of contact for ministry clients in their efforts to comply with multiple acts and regulations relating to the management of the government land base.

You will provide comprehensive information to clients on a wide range of land issues, programs and services, including regulatory requirements. You will receive, review and process applications related to the use of land for a variety of purposes. This position completes lease, permit and license documents for qualified applicants along with renewal, amendments and transfer documents for existing clients. You will evaluate (triage) client needs and concerns and provide advice verbally and/or in writing to email, letter and telephone enquiries on land regulations and lease requirements.

As the administrator, you will recognize evolving client service issues and recommend appropriate solutions. You will be confident and comfortable working independently or as a contributing member of a team. In addition to having excellent oral and written communication skills, you will be tactful, innovative and persuasive. A broad knowledge of policies and issues in land management will be an asset.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree, in Business Administration, or a related field and/or several years of demonstrated, related work experience. Experience in the use of Microsoft CRM/eCLMS would definitely be an asset.
