We are looking for an experienced Criminal Lawyer to join our team at the Saskatoon City Area Office.


Reporting to the Legal Director, some of the key responsibilities of the Lawyer include:

Conduct of assigned files to professional standards and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Legal Aid Saskatchewan & the Law Society of Saskatchewan

Negotiate competent resolutions of files to achieve fair, early and lasting outcomes for clients

Work independently on cases as assigned by the Legal Director

Complete accurate time entry and maintain case-related records in electronic database


3 plus years’ of experience in practicing criminal law

Law degree from a recognized law school

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Saskatchewan

Technologically savvy with a keen enthusiasm for learning new systems including, computer literacy in MS Office, web-based legal research tools, and other web-based resources

Commitment to social justice and an understanding of the needs and challenges faced by low-income and marginalized communities

Demonstrated time management and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines


Salary range for the position is $79,750 to $143,920 per annum, based on experience
