Headquartered in Montreal, the Chief Legal Officer, Montreal Exchange, is lead legal counsel to Bourse de Montréal (MX), and also provides legal support to TMX Group’s post-trade clearing facilities at the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) and the Canadian Depository for Securities (CDS). The CLO is a trusted provider of expert and strategic legal advice to the MX leadership team, and leads a small team of legal professionals within the larger matrix structure of TMX’s Office of the General Counsel. The CLO advises on the wide range of legal matters affecting MX and the post-trade businesses, and, together with the Montreal legal team, is integral to achieving their objectives.
