The chosen candidate will be based in Longueuil (a few steps from the Longueuil-Université-de- Sherbrooke metro station).

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Vice President – Corporate Legal Affairs and Secretary, the main responsibilities of the candidate will be to:

  • Participate in renewable energy acquisition and project development files;
  • Coordinate and manage the legal aspect of project financings, in close collaboration with the Finance team;
  • Ensure the necessary follow-up of all commitments prior to and following the closing of project financings, acquisitions and development;
  • Draft, negotiate and review financing agreements and various commercial contracts;
  • Coordinate and manage the legal side of setting up and following up on community or financial partnerships, in close collaboration with the Project Development team;
  • Assist and advise all business units in all legal aspects related to the activities of the Company;
  • Carry-out various mandates related to securities, corporate law and governance.

 

Profile and professional requirements

 

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in financing, acquisition or renewable energy project development or infrastructure an asset;
  • Member of the Quebec Bar or the Bar of another Canadian province;
  • Autonomous and proficient in French and English, written and spoken;
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel);
  • Proven ability for teamwork and to work under pressure.
