Stikeman Elliott LLP, one of Canada’s pre-eminent business law firms, is seeking a corporate lawyer with 2-4 years of experience to join our leading knowledge and innovation team as an integrated member of our securities and capital markets group. The successful candidate will collaborate on a wide range of critical practice resources, contribute to thought leadership and analysis of new developments, participate in training and development initiatives and work side-by-side other members of the securities group through hands-on practice support. This is a unique and progressive opportunity for someone who enjoys private practice and is looking to develop their expertise and actively contribute to the overall success of our capital markets practice.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of first-class knowledge and practice resources to support our securities and capital markets practice.
  • Staying at the forefront of industry and regulatory developments, sharing key information with members of the group and contributing to thought leadership for clients.
  • Identifying and leading initiatives for the training and development of associates in our securities practice as well as looking for opportunities for automation and productization.
  • Providing legal advice and services to clients and internal legal teams on securities and governance matters.

The candidate will report to the Toronto office with flexibility to work remotely within Canada. The candidate must be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, British Columbia or Alberta.
