What will your typical day look like?

As a member of the Global Talent Mobility Team, the Immigration Manager will oversee Deloitte Canada’s work permits, permanent residency, and business traveler processes. They will be accountable to all internal processes that impact immigration to ensure maximum efficiency and streamlined processes. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Talent Mobility, you will foster a strong service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven services. You will work closely with our extended Talent Acquisition and Advisory teams, external immigration advisor, Central Business Services and leaders. Developing a solid partnership with these clients will help you to succeed in this role.


• Manage the day-to-day administration of Canadian employment-based immigration requirements and permanent residency process with our immigration provider;
• Present immigration assessments for new hires, mobility, and current employees for Deloitte Canada;
• Manage Deloitte Canada’s business traveler process;
• Act as a liaison between Deloitte Canada’s immigration service partner, foreign national employees, talent, and leaders to provide accurate and appropriate information and guidance;
• Partner with immigration service provider on the strategy and details for cases and associated employer-sponsored petitions;
• Support internal processes to maintain Deloitte Canada’s foreign worker compliance, including education to extended Talent teams;
• Act as a point of contact for Deloitte Global Member Firms regarding Canadian immigration;
• Maintain reporting and responsible for internal and external audits;
• Remain up-to-date in latest immigration legislation and IRCC requirements;
• Carry out administrative tasks related to immigration processes including filing, mailings, invoicing, and electronic documentation.

About the team

The Global Mobility team is a part of the People Experience Team. People Experience delivers HR inquiry, specialized, advisory, and people leader services from a centralized function to support employees, provide a scalable platform to respond to changing business needs, and drive continuous improvement across the Culture and People Office function. The team is a steward of the employee experience, delivering the end-to-end talent lifecycle through defined processes that are standard for all business segments, and establishing Program Services to support complex, escalated, or strategic process/cycle needs.

You are someone who has/is:
• Post-secondary education supplemented by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant license (as recognized by the Immigration & Refugee Protection Act);
• A registered member in good standing with CICC;
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex immigration cases to clients;
• Experience influencing clients to ensure they understand any risks associated with immigration petitions in Canada.

*Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position.
