There is an opportunity to article with the Law Society in 2021 -2022. The articling student will spend 10 months supporting the Law Society's Discipline Counsel. The student will assist with Law Society hearings, including conducting research, writing research memoranda, drafting documents for hearings, assisting counsel in preparing for hearings, interviewing witnesses, identifying legal issues and applying the Rules, By-laws and Act. There will be opportunities to attend hearings and to perform some independent advocacy under supervision.
The start date for the position is somewhat flexible, but will begin no later than August 2, 2021.
