The Client and Lawyer Support Centre (CLSC) is a cornerstone of LAO’s new service delivery model, which improves coordination of legal aid services by providing clients with the right service at the right time. By streamlining client intake, LAO can implement consistent application and business processes across the province, providing better service to clients and greater value to taxpayers. The CLSC works alongside District Offices, which support service providers and duty counsel, manage client services, and build relationships with justice system partners.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting the CLSC in an administrative capacity.

Reporting to: Operations Manager, Client & Lawyer Support Centre

• Sorting and distributing mail
• Ordering and tracking supplies
• Tracking and Coding Invoices
• Organizing and scheduling meetings
• Recording and Distributing meeting minutes
• Coordinating recruitment, on-boarding and training activities
• Coordinating Services with external vendors
• Drafting and mailing documents to clients
• Creating and distributing reports
• Providing miscellaneous technical and administrative support to staff
• Responding to emails from clients that come in from LAO’s website
• Filing and other related duties as assigned
• Other tasks as required by manager

• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates independent initiative and assists wherever possible Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A solid understanding of LAO's policies, and procedures
• A solid understanding of CLSC’s policies, and procedures an asset
• A good understanding of the PeopleSoft system
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
• Well developed customer service and relationship building skills
