BCI is seeking a permanent full-time Paralegal to support corporate and transactional work for our in-house legal team. The Paralegal also responds to requests for information and supports Legal Affairs with general administrative matters.

The Legal Affairs department provides legal guidance to BCI's Board, management, and all departments within BCI. They provide legal advice and support for transactional, investment and operational activities, advise on contractual, legal and regulatory requirements and issues, provide procurement services, and manage corporate entities and records.

Must have:

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a corporate law or legal office setting;
  • Experience working with a legal database;
  • Strong work ethic and talent for detailed work;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, superb accuracy and organizational ability;
  • Proven ability to manage high volume of priority work under competing deadlines, take initiative, work collaboratively as part of a team and be discreet with confidential information;
  • Strong and accurate keyboarding (60+ WPM), writing, editing and word processing;
  • Ability to maintain positive long-term professional relationships with all parties;
  • Ability to work effectively in a close interdependent team environment.


  • Legal degree, law clerk or paralegal certificate or diploma from an accredited institution (or equivalent corporate records experience);
  • Knowledge working with ALF Corporate or similar corporate database;
  • Experience working with Canadian federal corporations;
  • As BCI is a global investor, familiarity with other legal jurisdictions from a corporate or tax law perspective is considered an asset, as is speaking a foreign language.
