bcIMC is seeking a permanent full-time Legal Assistant to support our busy legal team. Duties include preparing, formatting and reviewing documents, generating reports, and research. We expect a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, together with discretion, adherence to deadlines and superb organizational skills. Our Legal Affairs department works closely with management and the various departments of bcIMC, providing legal guidance and protecting bcIMC's interests.

Must have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience and comprehensive knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Legal Assistant certification or diploma, or equivalent Previous experience in a legal office and familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols
  • Understanding of legal terminology and the ability to apply it correctly
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, react to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A professional and discreet manner, using tact, discretion and diplomacy at all times
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office and fluency with a broad range of computer applications
