Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for a highly skilled Wills & Estates Paralegal in our Edmonton Office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of estate planning law and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting estate planning documents such as Wills, Prenuptial Agreements, Enduring Power of Attorneys, Personal Directives;
  • Drafting Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship documents;
  • Managing the estate planning file to completion; including scheduling appointments and attending meetings with lawyer and client for sign-ups;
  • Responding to inquiries from lawyers, legal assistants and clients;
  • Maintaining client relationships on a daily basis; and
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a Wills & Estates Paralegal and experience in drafting estate planning documents within the Wills & Estates area is required;
  • Paralegal diploma an asset;
  • A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills;
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills (both verbal and written) and professional telephone and e-mail manners are required;
  • Capacity to manage many files simultaneously to mean necessary deadlines and a proven ability to work under pressure of time, accuracy and constant interruptions;
  • Demonstrates a team approach and supports colleagues; and
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient with MS Word and Outlook.
