As Legal Counsel, you will provide prompt and effective legal and commercial support to client business areas within Canadian Natural. You will utilize your strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently in an ever-changing, team environment. You will possess the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality of service and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Liaise with other Canadian Natural personnel in respect of the delivery of commercially relevant legal advice (internal or external)
Assess legal and commercial risk and identify liability issues
Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies to deal with client issues
Draft, review and analyze documents
Assist in the co-ordination and instruction of external counsel in consultation with internal clients and decision makers
Prepare routine correspondence, communication and documentation on an ongoing basis

Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Laws degree and be eligible for admission to the Law Society of Alberta
Minimum ten years’ experience in any of the following areas of practice: Corporate Commercial, Construction, Administrative or Regulatory (Transportation), Oil & Gas or Corporate
