KMB Law is seeking a Senior Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 10+ years of law firm experience. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and able to demonstrate strong communication skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance a strong litigation practice in conjunction with experienced professionals in a dynamic and challenging legal environment. Position Overview: The Litigation Lawyer will assist with the performing of a variety of substantive, complex and routine legal activities with a commitment to legal excellence. This position may be located at our head office in Mississauga or in our Toronto office. Responsibilities include, among others: Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters. Develop and implement legal strategies in collaboration with clients and other team members. Independent carriage of files and collaboration on files with senior litigators. Work with and supervise junior lawyers and students. Represent clients in court and arbitration proceedings, while providing practical, cost-effective solutions. Support other firm practice areas. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Experience: The following would be an asset: 10+ years of good quality civil and commercial litigation experience. Strong negotiation skills. Self-motivated, hardworking and personable. Strong advocacy skills. Experience in complex litigation cases. Strong analytical skills. Proficient in legal drafting with a strong attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
