We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented and fluently bilingual (French and English) Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field, providing essential support to lawyers in various litigation matters. This role requires proficiency in project management, data entry, and administrative tasks, ensuring that all legal documentation is accurate and well-organized. Duties Manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines for lawyers. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently. Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for new clients. Conduct Client Verification. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards. Handle clerical duties including answering phone calls with professionalism and managing correspondence. Assist lawyers with case preparation by organizing files and documentation. Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents to ensure clarity and compliance with regulations. Asset: able to file documents with the Court. Assemble Affidavits of documents. File management including opening and closing files, filing all documents within the document management system and paper files, as required. Communicating with clients and organizing meetings, etc. Requirements Must be bilingual (French and English) and able to communicate proficiently in both languages. Proven experience as a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or legal environment. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
