Position: Family Lawyer (minimum of 4+ years of experience) Responsibilities Independently manage family law files, optional additional areas of law within firm. Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division. Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials. Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients. Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications. Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials. Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end. Experience in general civil litigation is an asset. Requirements Minimum of 4 years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice. Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently. Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills. Desire to become part of the community served. Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
