The Legal Counsel provides high-quality strategic legal advice to the Deputy Minister's Office and ensures legal perspectives shape policy and program development. They manage complex, high-profile issues and coordinate legal reviews of policy initiatives and communications across the ministry. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (JD) and have a minimum of eleven years of related experience. Active membership or eligibility for membership with the Law Society of Alberta is required.

Requirements
