Job details

Elson Advocacy is seeking to hire an associate lawyer in our civil and regulatory practice areas. Elson Advocacy is a small public interest law firm that helps clients with good causes that we believe in. Our practice includes First Nations, environmental, energy, civil rights, class action, and non-profit law. We strive to use our privileged position as lawyers to make the world a better place, and we measure success against that goal. We are looking for an associate with 2 to 6 years of experience, but we are open to considering excellent candidates with any level of experience. The associate’s primary areas of practice will likely be energy regulation and civil law/class actions. The ideal candidate would have the skills and interest necessary to excel in those areas, including interest in and familiarity with energy/environmental policy, economic analysis, and manipulation of spreadsheets. To apply, please provide a cover letter, resume, transcripts, and a writing sample by November 6, 2026 to kent@elsonadvocacy.ca. Late applications will be considered and kept on file for future openings. Salary will be commensurate with non-profit public interest legal employers.
