About

The Community Legal Clinic is a non-profit organization, based out of Red Deer Alberta. We were founded in 2004, and continue to grow and service many parts of the province, including Central Alberta, Fort McMurray, Medicine Hat, and Lloydminster. Our programs include a summary legal advice clinic, as well as public legal education initiatives, both supported heavily by volunteer lawyers in the communities we serve. In addition, we operate photo ID clinics, operate a tenant advocate and an immigration advocate program, assist with legal name changes for the gender-diverse, and employ 2 staff lawyers who carry files for clients both in Central Alberta and in remote communities. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. We are always looking for new volunteer lawyers - if you're licensed to practice in Alberta, or retired and looking to help with pro bono efforts, let us know!
