Job details
At Caravel Law, we take a modern, client-focused approach to legal services. Our model is designed to deliver high-quality legal support with flexibility, efficiency, and practical business insight. Our lawyers provide smart, practical legal advice to clients of all sizes and across a wide range of industries, including early-stage and growth companies. To support that work, Caravel is currently seeking a driven and entrepreneurial lawyer to join our non-traditional firm as a Start-up Lawyer. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for helping entrepreneurs build Canada’s next great companies. What You’ll Do Advise a variety of growth companies on corporate legal matters, including company formation, shareholders’ agreements, legal entity management, and other general commercial contract needs as they arise. What You’ll Bring A minimum of five years’ experience advising clients, ideally entrepreneurs and start-ups, preferably gained in private practice at a major Canadian law firm. A call to the Ontario Bar and comfort working with both provincial and federal incorporations. Strong organizational and project management skills. The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and exercise sound judgment with limited supervision. Although our lawyers are independent contractors who work remotely, we operate as one team and are committed to fostering a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive culture. Caravel is committed to providing clients with value, quality, and flexibility. This role requires hard work, initiative, and accountability, while offering greater autonomy and control over how you practise. If your experience and approach are well aligned with this opportunity, we would be pleased to hear from you. To apply, please visit our website (www.caravellaw.com) and upload your resume and cover letter. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only candidates under consideration will be contacted.
