What We Are Looking For: This position will independently manage and organize the daily operations of three Financial Services banking and lending practices. This role is suited for someone who has the ability to take initiative, prioritize competing demands, and multitask. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities are essential for these cross-border financings and commercial transactional practices. The right applicant will have an administrative background with a keen interest in banking and financial services law. Responsibilities: * Edit, format and organize transactional documentation and correspondence * Provide administrative support on all transactions (i.e. signature page packages, managing execution processes, coordinating outgoing wire payments and confirmations, organize closing documentation, prepare and compile record books, etc.) * Assist with transaction management, including tracking outstanding deliverables and post-closing items * Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients * Manage client file openings and conflict checks * Manage duties related to accounting (i.e. billing, paying invoices, expenses, etc.) * Manage lawyer calendars, schedules and transaction timelines * Maintain electronic file systems * Produce the highest quality of work * Accountable for all work assigned * Takes initiative * Confidential Requirements: * Minimum 3 years previous experience as a legal assistant * Experience in banking and financial services law an asset * Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program * Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced transactional environment Skills: * Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications * Strong document production skills, including experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents * Familiarity using DocuSign, Closing Folders and electronic data rooms * Highly organized, resourceful and proactive * Good judgement and decision making * Organized * Resourceful * Detailed Compensation: The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market equity.
