Job Description
The Toronto Real Estate Board is currently seeking a Professional Standards Coordinator to fill a full-time position within our Arbitration and Professional Standards Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager, Arbitration and Professional Standards and will be responsible for the duties outlined below.
The Professional Standards Coordinator is responsible for administering hearings, meetings, department packages, and organizing panels which meet the principles of fairness and equity. The Coordinator develops positive relationships with TREB Members and the general public to promote the presence of TREB, in accordance with the TREB MLS ® Rules and Policies, by-law, procedures and practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution or a combination of work and training experience.
A degree in Business Administration, Court and Tribunal Administration or English preferred.
Minimum of two years experience working with policies and procedures, preferably in a legal environment
Superior writing, editing and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, group facilitation skills, interpersonal skills, being able to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with others
Strong organizational and time management skills, being able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within short timelines
Strong analytical skills coupled with effective problem solving and decision making abilities
Understanding of and proven ability to interpret, apply and communicate the appropriate implementation of rules/by-laws and policies
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with departmental staff, management, TREB Members and the general public
Positive and helpful attitude with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Special Skills
Knowledge of legal procedures and business practices
